Literary Lacquers- Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster & Marilla's Amethyst Brooch

Hello lovelies! I had to put my other post on hold while I wait for a response, SOOOO, I figured I'd show you a New-to-Me brand - Literary Lacquers.

I actually received these polishes in a mystery swap from my friend Jenny, and I love them. I have been eyeballing Literary Lacquers for a few months, and I am so glad I got to finally try them out.

PAN GALACTIC GARGLE BLASTER

A beautiful teal blue holo with holo glitter. Formula was perfection. I used 3 thin, fast drying coats + HKGirl topcoat. The picture above is natural light without and with flash. You can really see the holo glitters in the photo above. The photos below are in the Sun, showing off that glorious holo. Such a beautiful color!

MARILLAS AMETHYST BROOCH

An Amethyst purple with purple and blue micro glitter and shimmer. Same excellent formula. Pictures show 3 thin coats + HKGirl topcoat. Both photos are in the sun to show off all that shimmery goodness.

Overall, I am VERY impressed with my first Literary Lacquers! The wear time on both of these was excellent for me, with only minimal tipwear. Annnnd I have already ordered a few more so you will definitely be seeing more Literary Lacquers here!

If you are interested in grabbing some for yourself, they are available on ETSY. You should also like them on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM for sneak peeks and news on restocks/new colors etc..

Aurora Lacquers- Daffodil Sorbet & Hydrangea Surprise

Hey everyone! I hope you enjoyed my first giveaway! Don't worry, there will be more in the future. Anywho, today I want to show you a new(ish) indie brand, Aurora Lacquers. So far, the colors I've seen and tried have been really nice. Let's take a look.

Daffodil Sorbet

Daffodil Sorbet is a pale, buttery yellow créme. The formula was a tad thick but not unmanageable. My pictures show 2 coats + topcoat. Dry time was average.
I really like this color, the opacity is excellent.

Hydrangea Surprise

Hydrangea Surprise is a pale sky blue crelly with pink, purple and blue glitter. This is really pretty, but you guys know I love blue nail polish. Formula on this one was EXCELLENT. Perfect consistency, the glitters dispersed evenly and laid flat. Pictures are 3 coats + topcoat. Dry time was good.

Overall, my first experience with Aurora Lacquers is a good one! I have 2 more polishes to show you tomorrow from them and they are GORG ;) If you are interested in checking out Aurora Lacquers for yourself you should check their FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM. You can buy some pretties HERE.

Aly's Dream Polish - Cheeky Lychee

*this polish was provided for an honest review*

Hello lovely ladies. Let me first apologize for no extra posts on Sunday. I had a little family issue but no worries, all is good now! So lets take a look at another gorgeous Aly's Dream Polish.

inside, flash.

Cheeky Lychee is a pinky peach, creamy holo. It is part of the macaron collection, and all the polishes in that collection are creamy and opaque, more so then her others.

Inside, flash.

Formula on this is excellent, as I have come to expect from Aly's. 3 thin, easy coats that dried FAST. The holo on this one is a little less prominent, but it is still holo.

Outside, no flash.

The sun was not out, but I wanted to show this in natural light, because it is almost neutral in some light, but pinker in other lights. It is pretty! And another perfect polish for those times you want to be presentably polished. I can not say enough good things about Aly's Dream Polish. It really is a dream!

Check out Aly's on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM for sneak peeks, restock news and pretty pictures. And when you are ready to buy some of her amazing polishes, you can do so RIGHT HERE.

Aly's Dream Polish - Cherry Blossom Pink

*This polish was provided for an honest review*

Hello polish lovers! I have been busy this week (baseball season is in full swing) but do not fret, I have a bunch of posts for y'all today!

First, is the lovely and feminine Cherry Blossom Pink (CBP) from Aly's Dream Polish. If you know me, you know I love me some Aly's. The formula, the color, the consistency, the dry time, the HOLO, ALL EXCELLENT. I have yet to meet an Aly that doesn't meet that criteria. They are always AMAZE-BALLS!

Full Sun.

Seeeeee?! CBP is a pale, warm, floral pink FULL of holo goodness. Pictures show 3 thin coats + top coat. In the sun it just sparkles.

Full Sun.

Do you see that?! I can't handle the gorgeousness. I would venture to say this color will work on basically any skintone ever, since it works on my super fair, yellow undertoned (thanks Italian heritage) Hard to match skintone. (Apologies for that long, unnecessary sentence haha.)

Inside, flash.

Even inside, this polish is super feminine and girly. CPB would be perfect for those times you want a mani that is subdued yet still pretty - job interview, meeting, wedding etc. I highly recommend this one!

I also recommend that you "like" Aly's Dream Polish FACEBOOK PAGE, and try following on INSTAGRAM for sneak peeks, restock info and more. And for the love of everything JUST BUY SOME (more) ALY'S! You won't regret it I swear!

Alys Dream Polish - Malachite

*This polish was provided for an honest review*

Hello beauties! Today I have a GORGEOUS new polish to show you from Alys Dream Polish. Malachite, a stunning Kelly Green scattered holo, will be released in the next restock, which will happen sometime this month. Check out these pictures...

OUTSIDE, FULL SUN

As you gals (and maybe guys) know, I love Alys. The formula is ALWAYS the perfect consistency, ALWAYS dries fast and ALWAYS looks great. There is a reason Alys are in my top 3 favorite brands. Malachite is no exception. All photos show 3 thin, buttery coats, topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

OUTSIDE, FULL SUN

The holo in Malachite is scattered, like all Alys Dream Polish polishes, but it is strong. It sparkles indoors and out.

INSIDE, INDIRECT SUNLIGHT

And the color! I know green is not everyone's cup of tea (or bottle of polish), BUT this shade of green is perfect for anyone. It is seriously the most beautiful medium green EVER. And trust me, you NEED it!

INSIDE, WITH FLASH

So, now that you have seen the beauty that is Malachite, let me give you some info! If you haven't "liked" Alys Dream Polish on FACEBOOK, you should! She posts tons of updates there and on TWITTER. If it is sneak peeks and pretty pics you need, you should be following Alys on INSTAGRAM. And if you're ready to buy some gorgeous Alys, you can do so HERE... and just between you and me, I suspect there will be a couple more new colors at the next restock ;)

Ooh La Lacquer - Coral Reefer Madness

Hello lovelies! Today I have a new to me indie to show you. Ooh La Lacquer is a US based indie company with AMAZING holos! Seriously. They are amazeballs. The one I am showing you today is Coral Reefer Madness, a coral leaning pink with TONS of holo and some gold shimmer. Let's take a look!

Inside, with flash.

Loooook at the prettttty! It is definitely a pink that leans coral, but coral it is. There is gold shimmer in there too, but all that holo makes it hard to photo.

Outside, direct sunlight.

Formula wise, the polish is great! It goes on smooth and evenly, no pooling in the sidewall, no dragging. Dry time is average, not super fast, but fast enough. These photos show 3 coats (although 2 would probably suffice, I just added a third for good measure. Or OCD. Whatevs)

Outside, shade (ignore the tip wear, this is 3days into my mani)

As you can see from the shade photo, even without the holo shining brightly, the color is gorgeous and perfect for summer. And you can also see, that 3 days into this mani I only have slight tip wear. This polish wears very well!

Direct sunlight.

Seriously, look at this and tell me it wouldn't look great on your toes on the beach this summer (you can't). It is so holo you would be staring down the whole time ;)

I am really in love with this color, and this brand. And Natassia (Ooh La Lacquers mastermind) is totally sweet! I will have another Ooh La Lacquer beauty for you later this week, so be on the lookout!

If you like what you see - and how could you not - I encourage you to like her on facebook HERE for updates and photos. And you can buy some Ooh La Lacquer beauties HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Big Spoon Lacquers - Childhood Wonderment (partial) Collection

**These polishes were provided for an honest review**

Hey everyone! I have some brand new polishes from Big Spoon Lacquers today. All four I have here (there are more) are from her Childhood Wonderment collection, inspired by beloved childrens movies. Be forewarned, this post is pic HEAVY. Let's get started!

Loves Adventure
Inside, with flash.

Inspired by UP!, Loves Adventure is a sky blue crelly, full of glitters in blue, green, yellow and red. This is PERFECT representation of the balloons in the sky, and totally UP! The formula on this one was good, but it is a bit sheer so I used an undie. These pictures show 2 coats of Loves Adventure over 1 coat of Bondi blue skies, topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. The glitters lie flat and it dried fast.

Outside, direct sunlight.

Eye On You
Inside, with flash.

Inspired by Monsters Inc., Eye on You is a bright sparkling green with gold flecks. Helllooooo Mike Wazowski! The formula on this is great, this is 3 easy coats + KBShimmer Clearly on Top. Self-leveling, and dries fast. And so pretty. And you can see that the color looks the same in direct sunlight and with flash. It is a perfect bright summer green.

Outside, direct sunlight.

And in in-direct sunlight, you can realllllly see the gold flecks. I think this *could* be my favorite of the four I have, but I love them all.

Inside, indirect sunlight.

Dream Big
Inside, with flash.

Inspired by Ratatouille, Dream Big is a dark blue jelly full of turquoise, pink, and purple micro-glitters. It looks like a beautiful night sky. It is realllllly pretty but I am kinda partial to blue polish ^.^ The formula on this was great, seems as this is a pattern for Big Spoon. Photos show 3 coats + NPB glitter food and Clearly on Top.

Inside, indirect sunlight.

Dynamite Girl
Outside, direct sunlight.

Inspired by Wreck it Ralph (which I have not seen - yet), Dynamite Girl is a raspberry pink jelly with multi sized/shaped gold/copper glitter with green shimmer. It is STUNNING you guys, seriously. It is so bright and girly and fun. And just look at the squishy jelly goodness in the bottom pic. Formula was great (are you surprised?), glitters lay flat and dispersed evenly. This is 3 coats + glitter food and Clearly on Top.

Inside, indirect sunlight.

These will be releasing April 1st, thats TOMORROW, fyi. See anything you like? There are a few others I want (the Toy Story one for sure!), that I will probably try to grab. If you are interested in Big Spoon Lacquers, they are available HERE.

Lilypad Lacquer - Indigo Love

Hey there! I hope everyone is having a good weekend! Today I wanted to show you one of my FAVORITE indie brands. Based in Australia, Lilypad Lacquers make absolutely stunning polishes. She obviously knows her holos though, because all the ones I've tried have been beautiful! Today's polish is no exception!

Indigo Love

Inidgo Love is a purple leaning blue. It is not a blurple, but truly indigo. While it can look purple-ish (see photo below), it is more blue than purple (see photo above). And the holo?! Amazing. It is gorgeous, and I got compliments from several people on such a "unique shade". And the formula is excellent, as usual. Opaque in 2 quick drying coats. It is awesome!

If you don't own any Lilypads, I highly recommend that you get some! They are available on etsy (restock coming soon ish), Femme Fatale in Australia, and Beauty So Fly in Singapore AND at Llarowe HERE (restock next week).

Sunday Spam - Alys Dream Polish

Hey reader! I have been trying to get this post up for 3 days now, but my internet is wonky and my oldest son started baseball practice this week too. Anyway, today I have 3 more Alys Dream Polishes to show you.

Alys Dream Polish is one of my favorite brands already for a few reasons. First of all, the formula is perfection - it is the perfect consistency so it goes on smooth as butter AND dries FAST! Second, the array of holographic colors are so vast, you could find pretty much any color your heart desires. And they are all beautiful so you really can't go wrong! Ok, on to the pictures! All pics are 3 coats plus top coat.

Cotton Candy

Cotton Candy is a light purple-ish pink. It is very reminiscent of cotton candy, and cotton candy reminds me of the county fair, which I look forward to every July. The color seems to shift in the light, leaning more pink or more purple, but it's pretty either way. Perfect for Spring and so feminine.

Intense Blurple

Intense Blurple is just that! It is a bright, fun, intense blue purple. It leans more purple in my opinion, however it is definitely a blurple, not a true purple. This is one my favorite colors. I love purples (and teals! And blues!) More than any other color. So I love this one.

Pale Rosemary

Pale Rosemary is a pale green, however it photographed much brighter than it actually is. In person it is much more subdued, but gorgeous none the less. And I don't have anything like it. Another winner.

A Cutesy Pic, JUST BECAUSE

And here, you will see my two and a half year old daughter, Aubrey, with a mani of Vivid Violet. She picked the color by herself and sat still as a statue for our special girl time :)

If you haven't tried Alys yet, I have to ask what are you waiting for? Alys are available for purchase HERE.

Sunday Spam - This week in manis

Hey everyone! Since it is Sunday, I am here to spam you with the manis I wore this week. Enjoy!

Alys Dream Polish - Vivid Violet

Alys Dream Polish is new to me but is quickly becoming a favorite brand for me. The formula was excellent, went on smooth and dried quickly. The colors (especially Vivid Violet) are saturated and beautiful. She has holos in pretty much every color ever, and her shop is currently open!

Rica (justricarda on etsy) - Shifter

Shifter is a thermal holographic polish. It is black when cold and a lovely light gray when warm. This photo shows the transitioning, as you can see the tips of my nails are darker. The formula was good. This polish is especially nice for me because Shifter is named for Sam Merlotte from True Blood (My newest obesession).

Lilypad Lacquer - Violet Moon

Lilypad Lacquer is another new favorite of mine, based out of Australia. Lilypads have amazing holos and the formula is excellent! Violet Moon is a periwinkle blue with violet shift and tons of holo.

Another shot of Violet Moon, just to show off that holo goodness.

Alys Dream Polish - Super Cherry (accented by) Big Spoon Lacquers - Midnight Sun

Another Alys beauty made it on my nails this week. Super Cherry is a juicy red leaning pink holo. Formula was excellent as usual. Midnight Sun by Big Spoon Lacquers is a pinky red jelly full of gold, purple and fuschia glitters. I got it in a mini mystery bag and I am glad I did, it is beautiful. And they match really well!

Ruby White Tips - American Horror Story Style

*These polishes were provided at a discount for an honest review*

Hello ladies (and possibly gentlemen)! Today I have 3 polishes from Ruby White Tips that are based on one of my favorite tv shows EVER! -WARNING: THIS POST IS PIC HEAVY-

THE COVEN

The Coven is a teal blue jelly. It is most definitely a jelly, in every sense of the word. But hey! It matches that house behind my favorite bunch of witches!

As you can see in all its squishy, teal jelly-ness in these picture, you can still see my nail line, but that doesn't bother me usually. Three coats of The Coven in both pics, the one above is indoors with flash, the one below is outside no flash. Teals are my favorite color, and I have a few ideas for this, jelly sandwich style, once it gets warmer.

VOODOO

VooDoo is a beautiful purple with blue shimmer and sparkle. It is really pretty. And like the resident VooDoo Queen, Marie LaVeau, it is quite mysterious.

These pictures show 2 easy coats of VooDoo, dry time was good. You can really see the blue shimmer in the bottom photo.

THE ALIENS

The Aliens is a red jelly with gold holo micro glitter. I could've probably gone with a better alien picture for you guys but I had to put Kit (Evan Peters I love you!) In, for obvious reasons.

The Aliens is probably my favorite of the three, surprisingly because I usually don't wear red, but those sparkles! Just look at the bottom picture and you will understand! This is 3 coats of The Aliens.

What do you gals think? Pretty awesome right?! Laura did a great justice to America Horror Story! If you like what you see Ruby White Tips are cruelty free & available HERE.

ALSO, You may have noticed my watermark has changed. In my quest for a new phone I had to find a new photo app, and I haven't quite found what I want yet. There also seems to be a weird yellow tint to my pictures in some spots, I will have to figure that out.
